The One Big Thing is a partnership project which took place for the first time in 2015 when almost 26,000 people took part!
This year it will happen on 19 October and again see tens of thousands of people across Coventry doing something active, either collectively or individually, to create a united, healthy and energetic city.
We’ll be running FREE Badminton sessions as part of One Big Thing 2016 between 10.00am – 6.00pm on Wednesday 19th October at the Woodlands Academy Sports Complex.
It’s open to all ages and is a great way of getting active as well as having some fun.
Just simply turn up on the day and get playing!
There will be rackets and shuttles for you to borrow if you haven’t got your own.
As of September 2016, there will be no students attending Woodlands Academy. There will be a single transition of all students from Woodlands to be taught on the Tile Hill Wood site. This decision was taken due to the number of resignations of Woodlands staff following the extension of the stakeholder consultations which makes it impossible to run a quality and comprehensive curriculum from the start of next academic year for the students.
In regards to facilities that are available for community usage including the multi-million pound Sports Complex building, these will remain OPEN AS NORMAL and will continue to operate a busy timetable of activities.
